The Night Before Raya

It has always been a tradition in our family to welcome the Hari Raya celebration by staying awake late into the night and playing with the fireworks. Although this is our first Raya celebration in our new house, my 3 children did not waste any time making friends with the neighbours. Words quickly spread that I had bought them the whistling firework and by 9pm, all of them had gathered at the playground waiting to light the fireworks.

It was a really fun night that will definitely be repeated every year from now on.

3 little pigs

I have never really like the story, 3 little pigs, until I went to my son's play when he was in Primary 1. The story was told in really cute way and the fact that the little actors and actress were a bunch of adorable 6 years old, made it all the more entertaining.

I really hated performing in front of an audience, therefore, I was really surprised when he told me that he truly enjoyed the experience. In fact, he went on to perform in another play the following year, and this year, he will be performing a traditional dance for the National Day celebration in his new school.

Shaqena's first makeup tutorial

Shaqena has always love playing with my make-up and her favourite is the blusher. So to ensure that my precious make-up is not destroyed, I finally got her a separate set to play with. This is a video of her when she was 20 months old.

My 3 waterbabies

The only way I could ever bring my 3 children out without going insane is to ensure that they end their day by getting themselves wet. Not only does this gets them to cooperate with me throughout the day, it is also a good way to wear them out so that by the time we are home, they could barely lift their head and are ready for bed, which will then allows me to sit down and relax with a cup of coffee ( and yes...I drink coffee at anytime of the day ).

The last outing we went to was Garden by the Bay. It was really fun even for me and my hubby. We even brought our swimming gear and had a splashing time in the wet park with the kids. We kept alternating between the wet and dry park again and again that by the time we got home, all of us had only enough energy to kick off our shoes, dump our bag packs in the toilet and get to bed.

My precious 3

Before I got married, I kept telling myself, I had to do something fun, exciting and adventurous. Well, that didn't happen...though the marriage did happen. And before I got pregnant, I kept telling my hubby, we should do something fun, exciting and adventurous. Still, that did not happen...though the pregnancy did happen. And now 11 years down the road, with my three kids by my side...guess what, my life has been a never ending journey fill with fun, excitement and adventures...asked and you shall receive.
