The things they do...

Children...sometimes they can drive you nuts and sometime they can make you smile. This video I want to share is a video of my girl who makes me laugh while driving me nuts. This was back when she was 2. She had insisted on emptying my drawer and messing up my room. When she was done with that she decided that it was not enough and proceeded to climb into my drawer to look for more stuff. What happen next got me laughing despite being angry at first, but I guess she had gotten her punishment.

My future public speaker

Being someone who hates speaking in front of an audience, I was really surprised to find out that my girl loves having an audience. She has been honing her public speaking skills and I know this because there are at least 5 videos (courtesy of her brother) of her doing a presentation on anything that she could get her hands on. I was going through my youtube video last night and I found this video of my girl when she was barely 2 doing a presentation of a fan. I could not understand a word that comes out of her mouth but I should have guess then that she would one day be a great speaker.

My future footballer

My husband has always wanted to be a soccer player and when that dream goes down the drain, who else could he turn to to fulfill his dream other than his first son. When my first son was born, I warned my husband not to influenced his mind. He can nurture him and try in spark an interest in him but never force him to choose soccer over anything that he really loves. In the end, my son decided that he hates sports and chose robotic and chess instead for his CCA. My husband was very understanding about it and even supported him in his choices.

When my second son was born, my husband was still hopeful that his hopes and dreams could still be fulfill. And so far, the prospect has been good. My younger son loves soccer. That is the only thing he ask for whenever we go toy shopping...no cars, no robots and no guns. The first thing that he grabs the minute he wakes up is one of his soccer ball and he will start dribbling around the house. Looks like my husbands dream might just come true and for his sake...I hope it does.

Hari Raya Visiting

Me and the hubby do not often share the same off day, therefore, planning a Hari Raya outing can be a chore. Both of us were lucky enough this year to get the first 2 days of Raya off, and since we could not go out on the first day as we have visitors coming, we decided to complete all our visiting during the second day...hah! Wishful thinking. In the end, we only managed 3 houses and it was crazy. The 3 kids nevertheless enjoyed themselves and why shouldn't they. There's lots of great food, lots of Hari Raya goodies that you get to eat only once a year as mommy is too lazy to bake and they get to meet their cousins which is not something they get to do very often as we can get really busy and caught up with work. All in all we had fun even though my feet were crying for help by the end of the day...thanks to my 4 inches heel (bad idea).

Selamat Hari Raya

This is our first Hari Raya celebration in our new house. We were really excited at the prospect of celebrating this joyous occasion at our new house even though it isn't really ready. Although my 3 kids miss their friends, they can't wait to go visiting with their new neighbours. I can't wait to see them grow up in our new house and built new memories here.

The Night Before Raya

It has always been a tradition in our family to welcome the Hari Raya celebration by staying awake late into the night and playing with the fireworks. Although this is our first Raya celebration in our new house, my 3 children did not waste any time making friends with the neighbours. Words quickly spread that I had bought them the whistling firework and by 9pm, all of them had gathered at the playground waiting to light the fireworks.

It was a really fun night that will definitely be repeated every year from now on.

3 little pigs

I have never really like the story, 3 little pigs, until I went to my son's play when he was in Primary 1. The story was told in really cute way and the fact that the little actors and actress were a bunch of adorable 6 years old, made it all the more entertaining.

I really hated performing in front of an audience, therefore, I was really surprised when he told me that he truly enjoyed the experience. In fact, he went on to perform in another play the following year, and this year, he will be performing a traditional dance for the National Day celebration in his new school.
